gift cards in different country
if i were to buy a physical gift card for my friend who lives in bulgaria (im in germany) would he be able to activate it or are they like country locked?

cards are currency locked, they dont convert to different currency

so does that depend on the country or the currency used on the account so if he uses euro and i buy a 20 euro gift card it doesnt matter that hes in a different country?

if they use Euro, then that is what you need to get them.

you could also just send them a digital card thru steam using an outside payment. this removes the annoyance of trying to find the correct currency and you dont worry about the cards code being used/stolen before your friend redeems it.

It should work fine as far as I Know. :steamthumbsup:

I live in Albania and our currency is not supported either, and my Steam store goes to the Euro instead. I've purchased a physical Gift Card at a local game store here before that tops up 20 Euros and it worked fine for me. As long as it is a Euro gift card it should work.
