I bought Dead Space 2 from Steam once. That also stopped working after some time. I had to get it on Origin to get a functional version. (But not the EA App, because the EA App needs to connect to the internet all the time, and because of that is terrible.)
Did I understand you correctly?
Which game you've installed - B:AC or B:AC GOTY?
This is what it says
Welcome
This software must be authenticated online prior to use. For activation a valid serial number and an active Internet connection is required.
Please visit our support homepage for additional information: https://support.securom.com/PAunlock/?c=3000
then when i click next i get this
Enter your serial
Please enter your serial number in the supplied text area and click 'Activate' to unlock. This will connect to the license server via the Internet and request an unlock license. Press 'Exit' to abort.
Click the 'Show Details' button in order to show the transmitted XML-request.
I also have a window that has an unlock request code.
First:
If you don't have any cd-keys there, uninstall B:AC and install GOTY version.
This one should have it removed.
If it still won't work, then you need to contact support as per 3rd post.
PS: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, does SecuROM suck.
Denuvo also sucks. You need to pay attention none of that garbage is in your game.
