Custom username

Hello! is there a way to custom the username in the steam profile? like bold or italic? i tried to copy paste the italic name in web, but it didnt work in game only in steam profile

People try to abuse Unicode characters for this, like the "Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols". However, games often don't like Unicode -- they might even come with their own font that has almost no characters, and generally don't want to implement a fully fledged unicode renderer just for player names.
