Items/Skins are gone
Hello guys,

I hope you can help me with this issue.
I was playing cs2 today and I noticed my skins weren't on the guns then I went to my inventory and nothing of value was there. The most curious thing is I have steam guard and authenticator and I didn't receive any confirmation of trade. Plus I went on my trade offers and I saw 7 trading offers from my account which I didn't make.
I also saw 3 trades today at 25/05/20224 at 2:38am which I was sleeping.
I want to write to Valve but it doesn't give me the option, this is outrageous I've never been in this situation and I have been a member of valve for 14 years, how is this possible.
I need help urgently please.

Hijacked not hacked. Follow steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

what does that mean? I lost all my skins and I didn't do anything? Valve isn't going to do anything about it?

Correct, your items are gone and you can't have them back. You're expected to know how to keep your account and items safe.

Your account has been compromised and at some point you have given your login information away. Follow the steps above to secure your account.
Unfortunately steam wont give your items back

Valve didn’t allow someone to access your account, only you could have done so.

Why should they be responsible?
They should be responsible to investigate, I didn't give access to anyone, how do you think I have maintain this account for 14 years and nothing has been stolen. It is impossible I need steam to take care of this and investigate.

You can report the account the trade was sent to, but other then that there is not much you can do with regards to your missing items. At the end of the day it is your responsibility to keep your account secure.

As to how you gave your information away, my first guess would be by using a 3rd party trading site.... but it could also be any of the following.

Have you been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
Have you been asked to register for a tournament?
Have you used any third-party site for gambling or trading?
Have you logged in on a public device?
Have you entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
Have you tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
Have you talked to an "admin" after being "accidentally reported"?
Does someone else use your PC or your account?
It says that I traded with ".".
Of course I didn't do any of that, I have never done. I don't know how I was hacked it does not make sense to me I always get steam guard notifications and to this I didn't get? it is very weird , very very weird.

Someone who had access to your account did.

All trades are final. The items are gone.
Can you still login with your steam guard, or is it not active anymore?

It could explain why you did not get a notification about trades

Its curious how people keep blaming the victims for hacked accounts, even if you are using the stupi steam guard system that only makes hard for the user but not for the damn chinese hackers to steal all your items :c. I feel your pain bro, it hurts but you will be fine

... that you know of.

These scams require the victim's cooperation, and they require the victim to be unaware that they are cooperating in the scam. So the fact is you did give away your login information, you just need to figure out where and when.
There are lots of possibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Third party trading/gambling sites, or sites that purport to allow you to trade items for real money. (These are all scams.)
  • Vote for my team on this tournament.
  • Vote for my logo design.
  • "Catch $50, $25, etc" gift card giveaway scams.
  • "free" stuff giveaways for CS2, Rust, DOTA, etc.
  • Cheats
  • Actual malware, trojans, etc.
Whoever you think is to blame and whether or not you believe Valve should reverse those trades is irrelevant. First and foremost you need to secure your account by following all the steps Aluvard posted in response #1. Next, you need to learn how these scams work so you don't become a victim in the future. Fact is you have all the tools you need to keep your account secure, but even the best lock in the world won't help you if you give the key away.
Solved, thanks for the help guys
