On their FAQ they consider this a scam. Will this guy get a punishment at least? They can see our chat logs and the trades and everything.
No. You were warned that all trades are final.
You gave them away for free.
You can report his account if you feel like it, but don't expect any actual results.
Take it as a lesson to not be so gullible in the future.
op came in hot and did the name and shame
like a lot of time
nice people warned them not to
that it was against the rules and could get them in trouble
like a few
op decided that they were going to keep it there and got in trouble for it
like they were told they would
Anyone can make up stories.
I warned the OP about it and suggested they remove the link. I actually edited out the alleged users link in the quote before posting my comment so to not be braking the rules myself. Whilst I didn't get banned the comment, that broke 0 rules, got deleted...
Old mods would have allowed my warning/recommendation and given the OP chance to delete/remove the link so as to not be braking forum rules.
We have a scammed "sad" user who is by having fallen for things in the first place seemingly somewhat new to the let us say rather morally underwhelming platform and especially "community" that is Steam, i.e., who would as such never have given thought to stolen/hijacked accounts being used for scams, finding him/herself as a victim of said platform being instead treated as a perpetrator by Steam moderation/suppport.
"Not too much to ask for" -- unless you're one of the Steam forum-regulars whom and irrespective of what happens in whatever context find fault to always lie with the user rather than with Steam. Because that makes them sound way cooler.
OP has 113 pages of posts, you dont know if he got in Trouble before, the Mods do.
Chances are he broke the rules before, so they issued a Ban instead of just a Warning.
