It would make more sense to just focus on getting the Email access back, then you achieve both goals with only one support ticket to your Email provider.

Even if you contact support, they usually take a week or more to respond anyway, so again it would be faster and easier to just get the Email inbox back.

i'm trying to get it back, but i might not get it so i figured i'd try to get access to my steam account and change the email.

Next time you need to set up an important EMail account, use the correct information and stuff like this becomes a no-brainer.

Other than that, contact Steam support for a "lost account" -- I believe that's one of the standard choices they are offering. There is a good chance that your account contains REAL information that's not publicly accessible, but leave the details of what they'll be asking you to them.

i was able to enter my steam account via teamviewer on a friends pc (i'm currently out of the country) which i had once played on with my account and so the steam guard knew the pc. So i changed the email. So it all worked out great.

I would highly recommend you not use the same password for your email. If you used the same passwords and logins for your banking I suggest changing that first. Dont click on links to profiles in chat. They take you false steam pages where your entering your password information. They then take everything from you.
