2 Steam accounts, same IP, same user on the computer?
Hi... so I'm having a major issue where my Son wants to use my computer with his own steam account to play CS:GO.

The issue I'm having is when creating the account, it logs in fine. But then when logging out and then logging into my account, that works to.

However when he trys to log BACK IN to HIS account, it comes back with cannot connect to steam servers ?...

Is there a workaround from this or do I need to create a new user account on this computer for him to install steam on and then play via that(That will be a pain).

Or is it the issue that I have a VAC ban on this account from over a year ago that I cannot have two accounts on this IP ?

I bloody hope not.

Thanks

p.s not waiting 5 days for a response from support.

This is likely a conicedence and not a restriction. I've never heard of any IP limits. Does it happen every time? If so, does it eventually work?

It happens every single time. I've even created another account on another email address.

It logs in perfectly after account creation, I then confirm email address and then log out, log into this account, log out and try his account again, same issue saying it cannot connect to steam or whatever.

I'm not sure if I need to restart my computer or not, however I do recall doing that a week ago and the same result came.

Not to sure why this is happening to be honest and I really don't want to wait any longer because my Son wants Dayz standalone.(Kids are impaitent)

The only things I can think of are this:
1. Try to wait a minute or two before logging into the new account.
2. Refresh the Steam files:
Delete everything in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam except "Steam.exe", the "SteamApps" folder, and the "UserData" folder. Then run Steam.exe.

Thank you ! it works perfectly now.
I think it might of been caused by a custom steam skin as well, maybe, because after doing what you said the default skin of steam works perfectly and it logs in ALOT faster on main account and sons account than it did the first time we created his account.

You've made a very stressed man happy, and a little kid even happier. Thanks mate.
