Flash not working

I have the newwest win 8.1 which comes with flash and the latest ITE but steam says i cant play vids cause i haven't got flash which i have

flash in internet explorer for windows 8/8.1 are autoupdate-enabled.
flash for other browser such as firefox needs to be manually updated.

if the flash player for the steam game client malfunctioned in your case, then there is something wrong.

try to run windows update agent so that the latest flash player for internet explorer will be updated.

if running windows update does not fix your problem, do the following:
1. flash player for other browsers, go here:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe

flash player for previous windows OS (windows 7, vista)

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe

The Flash that Win8 comes with is only for IE & Metro-UI.
You will still be required to install "Adobe Flash for Other Browsers" for it to work with something like Firefox or Steam Client.

not by chance you'll be using windows 8? I am from Spain and I feel the same

type this in your web browser,
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions
select the OS you have, then make sure to select the version that says "OTHER" browsers.
Then install it and you should be good to go! Some have to restart their system afterwards though.

Also when the prompt box pops up for you to run, save, etc....make sure to choose the RUN AND SAVE option from the drop down arrow thingy
