sending gifts to my friend's account

Hey community,
recently I bought the 4-Pack of Tabletop Simulator and one of my friends made a new account because he didn't have one but I cannot add him as a friend because steam blocks that feature if the person hasn't spent at least 5 dollars in Steam.

My question is, can I still send him the game gift via Email and play with him without him adding me (because he can't as mentioned)?

You cannot send gifts to email anymore.

You still can add him.
Let your friend tell his friend invite code from here, then you can add him. https://steamcommunity.com/my/friends/add

The account you're posting from isn't limited. Keep in mind that limited accounts (your friend) CAN receive friend requests from non-limited accounts (yours) and then be gifted.

Thanks for the quick response, the problem is that when my friend clicks on this "add friends" button the "limited access" window opens thus he can't even find his invite code and his name also doesn't pop up when I try to find him via his username.

Ask him to send his profile URL.

He can go to his profile, right-click on a random spot and choose "Copy Page URL". Share with whatever method you two are using to communicate and friend him yourself through his page.
