Does the original GTA 4 pre 2020 release still work?

I want to ask this question: Is playing the original GTA 4 Steam version still possible? I'm looking at possibly getting some keys to GTA 4 and Episodes from Liberty City , and I want to know if they can still be activated on Steam.

Buying keys from a 3rd party is always a bit risky. They might work. They might not. And even if they do work, if they were found to have been acquired by fraud after the fact you could still lose the game later.

My suggestion is that if the keyseller isn't listed on isthereanydeal[isthereanydeal.com], then avoid them. That site will only show games from trusted and legitimate sellers.

Pretty sure there are exactly zero GTA IV Steam keys. Complete edition maybe, but the original version I don't think so.

If you can somehow get your hands on a valid key, it will work too. However as has been said, it is uncertain, if the ones, you think to have stumbled upon, are real.
A better approach would be to buy an old physical copy of the game.
