Steam just stopped working on Linux today
I'm not sure what exactly happened but in the past 2-3 hours I did a reboot and after that reboot nothing on Steam is working. I'm not sure if an update was pushed or what.

Whenever I try to launch a game the button just goes from Play to Cancel to Play very rapidly. Nothing actually launches.

I updated form NVIDIA 545 to 550 drivers just to rule that out - now on 550.54.14.

Ubuntu 22.04
128 GB RAM
Core i9 12900K
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
18 TB drive space (2 TB Host OS SSD)

I fixed the problem. For anyone who sees this issue after latest updates from apt, the fix is simply validate game files for one of your games and all games then work fine.
