[ Answered ] How does it work this function about;
''Purchase in private''? Does it mean any acquired product through Steam store will not be announced on my activity and friends? Why would this be necessary? What would be so embarassing to hide from your friends or myself?

If you choose to purchase it privately, then yes, it is not announced to anyone. Some would prefer not to announce their every purchase to others. Choice is good.

For most people, the answer would be pornographic products, but there are a bunch of different reasons as well. "Girly" games for male teenagers in circles, where this is seen as shameful, games with heavy violence on a parent's account; basicly anything, that does not fit the image, one would like to present; no matter if it's just about experimenting with the genre or a hidden passion for it.

It's the sort of feature, most users have been waiting for, but few will admit to have done so.
And it saves the hazzle of a secret secondary account.

Just fyi... You will see it in your activity feed but others won't.

Okay. Would like to test on games I've purchased sometime ago and gave a bad review for being in a very initial development and knowing I have criticized about back then and now after the time has past, it might have changed for something better. Thanks all of you for sharing your thoughts.

I've forget sometimes the youngest ones still manage Steam while in the last 16 years I doubt there plenty of us are this young. I'm 35 and not ashamed for being loyal on Steam only.:tgrin:
