My "account" icon is highlighted green--what does it mean?

In upper right corner of steam UI right next to the notifications is a downward arrow that looks like a v, right next to my account picture. It's now highlighted green for some reason, the same way the bell icon is highlighted green when I have a new notification.

Why is it green?

In Steam UI on PC. I can see it right now in upper right corner as I type this message. It's like it's trying to tell me that something in my account has changed, but I have no idea what.

It means you have game running.

Blue is idle. Green is playing.

Thanks so much! I have never noticed this. I think my confusion is from having recently changed my name to be blank (a few space characters), so instead of my name being highlighted green, it's just a green button with downward arrow.

Green = logged into the friends and chat as online and currently in game

Grey = offline or invisible

Ohh. Somehow Steam changed me from Invisible to Away. I've been on Invisible for like a year so I've never seen the green icon before. It was always grey.
