so it's something wrong with the server, not anything related to you specifically
Oh, that's great news. That it's not something on my end. Server issues still suck
Can you go into Task Manager and see if your Steam Client and Steam Webhelpers are taking up over 1.1GB RAM.
If so, I know the fix...
Sounds similar to what I was seeing the other day.
Do you also have any Steam library issues?
Only Firefox is eating up that much, and only the usual images aren't loading when I look at news for games
Steam Client? I'm not entirely sure what the difference between Steam and The Steam Client is. But the images aren't loading on Steam; but they haven't been for ages before the error started occurring
So what I would do is update the browsers. I tend to update that stupid Edge browser also but the default browser should suffice and they hide the update in "About" section on every browser I believe.
How much free space is left on the drive Steam is installed on (not your games, the actual drive where the client is located)?
Is this a desktop or laptop?
It's a laptop, and I have over 100GB free. Which is the usual amount I've had for years.
So the browser can affect the Steam Client?
Games run through a URL don't ya know?
Disk space is fine there, usually when it's low you can find these types of issues.
And you are running Steam as Admin and also allowed it through your firewall(s)?
In Properties < Compatibility mode, laptop users have reported good things with changing "High DPI settings" and then enabling "Override DPI Scaling < Application"
Plus, users of laptops and newer GPUs, have reported turning off/on "Accelerated GPU in Webviews" in Steam Client Settings < Interface.
Personally, it could be High DPI compatibility settings.
You can also attempt to turn off "Fullscreen Optimizations" in Compatibility.
When doing these, or any, changes, make sure to always reverse-engineer settings back if these possible fixes fail.
My money is on DPI compatibility this round...
