Games for one handed person
Greetings fellow gamers! I need your advice. I lost my right hand on the frontline. Before I enlisted in the military, gaming world was a part of my life. And now I can’t fully enjoy gaming experience. Probably not before I get a fully functional prosthesis. So, my question is, what games can you advise me to play for now, including a fact that I don’t have one arm? Thanks in advance for your answers!

RTS games like Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition can be played with just the mouse (if you are a casual player). Same goes for citybuilder games like Pharaoh: A new Era.
Turn-based RPG games (Pathfinder WOTR, Pillars of Eternity etc.)
A couple I've played recently are Oculto and Nine Witches, both are quite short though. In general point and click adventure games should be playable with one hand.
i don't recommend "micro management" games like Age Of Empires at all.

here are some recommendations from me

1) Football manager series

2) Heroes of might and magic 3

3) master of orion (not the reboot version)

are some examples

------------------------------------------------------------

micro management games like Age of Empires, Red Alert, Command & Conquer games.........etc requires 2 hands

-----------------------------------------------------------

how to control 2 groups of units in Age of Empires separately with just 1 hand only?????

use the mouse to click here and there and the map, let go of the mouse, then go press the number 1 above the letters keyboard with your only hand and continue the same actions.

it is a very huge hassle in itself.

Purchase a mouse with many buttons.
No need to limit yourself to just a few games. I bet all games can be played with one hand. People can help you re-map all keys to make it playable with one hand, or you can do it yourself.

Stephen Hawking did practically everything himself, and he was almost entirely disabled. You just need extra utilities. And those need to be configured and setup properly.

anything turn based that doesn't require fast responses controlled with a mouse should be fine.

Should the game use modifier keys, then i recommend enabling the sticky keys accessibility feature for keyboards so that you don't have to hold that specific modifier key all the time, but instead use it as a toggle.

Thanks for your answers! Gonna try some RTS and RPG games which you advised.
You could also try survivorlikes. Like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment or Deep Rock Galactic Survivor. Those can be played entirely with one hand.
Bayonetta has a 1hand mode. . . .
Turn base games , aka xcom to mouse clicker game. so many of them
Steam Curators could be a help for you. There are a number of them that curate for different disabilities that people might have to deal with.

I didn't have time to go through all of the games, but worth looking at to see if anything catches your fancy and has been marked as playable for one handed gamers.

Besides that- have you given any thought to an Adaptive Controller?

May or may not suit your needs before getting your prosthesis, during your training time with the prosthesis, and after your are fully used to it.
It's an option- only your can decide if it's a good one for you.
OP, there is a place for gamers with "special" needs such as yours. I seen them create a controller for one-handed people and also with no hands.

When I find the place I will send you this information.

Also, you may have luck with eye-tracing software, which is free thanks to the late Dr. Hawking and Microsoft partnership.

As for specific games, look for games such as RTS, but also get yourself a nice 6 button or even better a 10-button mouse and simply reconfigure all the keys to use on the mouse.

With a 10-button mouse you could also play shooter games. With eye-tracking you can use your eyes to manipulate movement and such as if using either mouse or W,A,S,D (not sure if you are predominately left or right-handed).

I am sorry and it must be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating as hell.

You could use the roller ball to use as a movement mouse. It is a light ball that tracks motion used to manipulate things like cursors and game player movements.

This is what I saw for one-handed people as I searched for a solution for someone with no hands.
