Why was manual joystick calibration removed?

I haven't played with a controller in 6-12 months. I use a Switch Pro controller on Mac. It used to be that I would get bad right joystick drift (always down+left for some reason), so I would go into controller settings and adjust calibration -- moving the joystick left, right, etc. This option is totally gone now, and the only thing I can do is adjust the dead zone, which doesn't help me. Did the option move? Was it totally removed?
