About games using friend lists

A lot of games have started using friend lists as ways to creep players out, like Pony Island or Kinito Pet. Some of these ways kind of make me genuinely uncomfortable for me to be on the other end of it like a game asking the player "who would you rather kill", or faking what a person is saying.
Basically, is there any way that I can be visible on a person's friend list however for any games that try to look at that person's friend list, the game pretty much doesn't know I exist?

There's no way of achieving this unfortunately. Games like KinitoPET take from the steam friends list library provided to them BY steam's API, it's not something you can control unless you weren't that person's friend at all.
