Basically:
if local save is more recent than cloud save : local save is uploaded to the cloud.
if cloud save is more recent than local save : cloud save is downloaded erasing your local save.
So you need to play the game again on the desktop (with the 9 hour local save) to ensure its timestamp is more recent than the one in the cloud.
THEN, reenable cloud saving.
Don't skip the backup. It is very easy to lose the save you want to keep when enabling/reenabling the cloud.
If you don't like the idea of using GameSave Manager, you can backup this folder manually and restore it if something goes wrong:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing.
Uh... am I misunderstanding? Didn't they want the 4 hour laptop save to be the one saved to the cloud? It's the 9 hour PC save they wanted to get rid of, right?
Wouldn't this advice have just locked in the 9 hour file they did NOT want (since they accidentally leveled up & didn't want to)?
