gift card don't work outside Canada

I purchase a gift card on wallmart when I was in canada last week, now I'm in Brazil and I can't redeem it. Can anyone help?

Gift cards only work for the region/currency you bought them in.
If your account region is set to a completely different region than were you bought the card, then the card will not work.

but I used another gift card the other day and it worked and it was US dollars

Use can't use CAD currency on a Brazilian account.

Just remember, only Canadians can use the CAD currency card.
