How do i stop this?
Hey i was just contacted by a guy called [VA] Adam Christen, and he was typing about my account being involved in fraudulent activity. He was even able to remove my profile pic and add a long text in my profile text. and a lot more.
I then blocked him, but he could unblock..
I managed to change my mail, code, and my detail to buy stuff.
i blocked him again, and for now there is peace.

But how do i prevent this? i have steam authentic app.
How do i know he doesnt have access to my account?

Surely this is a scam and not a real Steam/VA support.

please help.

By the way im Danish so sorry for the spelling + im panicking

Thanks in advanced.

Hijacked, not hacked. You leaked your account credentials somehow.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Steam does not return inventory items or wallet funds: https://help.steampowered.com/faqs/view/3B6E-B322-2400-8D24

If you no longer have access to your account, read this:

Secure your account, and be more careful about account security in the future. You probably weren't l33t h4x0r'ed, it's too much work. And users are generally pretty weak when it comes to security, so they're usually the root cause of how an account is compromised.

Thats just another key. If you give you keys to a stranger they have access to whatever they unlock, House, car, account and whatever else. It is NOT a magically make account immune to compromise.

You likely used a dodgy phishing website or believed some random person on discord and gave them your login details.

Do the steps in post #1 and stop entering your login credentials on random places.
