Steam starts Microsoft Edge when starting and quitting games

Hello,
so basically every time I try and start a game, Microsoft Edge automatically pops open and minimizes Steam and my game. Same thing happens when i quit the game sometimes.

I also have the feeling that it occurs during gameplay and my game just completely freezes so much so that I cannot even access the Task manager of my PC and have to manually restart my damn thing...really annoying

Any ideas why thats happening?

Hi,
I am having a similar problem. My WOTB game freezes and the only way to recover is hard shutdown of system. Can't even get Task Manager to open. When I load the Microsoft version of the game the problem does not occur. is there a ticket on this?

ill try this again im having the same issue i have complete removed one drive from my cpu ive done full uninstalls reinstalls ive done reboots, ive found similar threads on this site only to have a mod walk in and go this is an old post closed goodbye

so an update i found and old post on reddit that had similar issues and they mentioned disabling/uninstalling the omen gaming hub. which worked for me so hopefully this works for you
