Can't add new drivers to steam
Adding a new driver to storage for my steam library and nothing happens.

How do I fix this?

Try Settings -> Interface and disable "Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views." Then try adding a Steam Library to drive D. Does this bring up a "Add a new Steam library folder" window? If it does then click the blue arrow to the right of "Local Drive (D:)" and select "Let me choose another location" and then click add. In the window that pops up, navigate to the "steamgames" folder and click on "Select Folder." Next go to Storage and see if drive D has been added by clicking the blue carom arrow as before.

Open Steam settings > Storage > click on drop down menu > click add drive.

If you're getting error, did you add one to that drive before in said location you're trying to add it to? If yes, rename the current folder on that drive, then should let you place a new one, close steam, delete new folder, then revert the rename folder, and launch steam, and it will see that folder again.

I'm not sure what you mean by renaming the current folder.

Did the computer come with the drive or did you purchase the drive and have it installed later?

Press and hold the Windows key and then press "E." If the window only shows folders and "Recent files" then click on "This PC" in the list to the left. What items under "Devices and drives" does the window show?

Right-click on D and select properties. Does it show NTFS as the "File System?"

Open drive D by double-clicking on it. Is there a "SteamLibrary" folder in the drive?

Note this guide is about movign games but it does show the UI for basically adding a steam library directory which is functionally the same process

Go to Steam -> Settings -> Storage and in the upper right corner, click the blue downward pointing arrow. Does something other than "Local Drive (C:)" and "Add Drive" appear in the menu?

And just to be sure, is Steam installed in drive C:? or in drive D:?

C drive is the only thing that appears on the drop down menu, and when I try to add D drive, nothing happens.

Steam is installed in Drive C: yeah

I had to edit my last comment as the instructions (which were from memory) were incorrect. Please reread my previous comment.
