my gpu usage is constantly around 60 70 % cpu is a little higher
i am using a 550 watt psu. gtx 1660. 16 gb of ram which is being used fine (i checked with msi afterburner) but the gpu mostly works around 60% usage. I have an i3 8100 which also is used around 70 % max.

I tried playing Borderlands 3 but it never stays a constant at 90%+ usage?

my problem is the game constantly drops to 50 fps. But the GPU usage never goes and stays around 90+. Nor does the cpu.
I mean if the game is demanding then the usage % must also go up to compliment the game and keep up the frames as much as they can right!
The resolution matters. Higher the resolution, the more resources used in higher quantities.

actually i messed with my system's power usage and turned it to high. now it works around 90 % constant. and frames are better. But still I AM UNSURE IF SYSTEM POWER USAGE SHOULD BE = AT HIGH SETTINGS?

is it safe?

I have been running High Performance/High Power Usage/Consumption for 7 years without issues.
