Why would Steam support help you with a completely unrelated (and probably VERY shady) site? Why did you buy wallet codes not meant for you?

And what a surprise, the shady site wants to keep your money.

Some years ago they made Steam wallet cards region locked, this was done to deter scammers, as well some people trying to flip to make a profit.

Not sure why you bought Steam cards that outside your region, instead of just buying it in your region, or even better why couldn't just directly load your account using your external payment.

It's not a shady site, the site i was buying the steam wallet code was in a partnership with Binance and Steam, have you check it yet?

How would you know you're supposed to make purchases in your region? Seriously?

If you kept up with news about Steam since 2020/2021 you would've known.

Either way you went out of your way to buy gift cards outside your region, which again why couldn't you just buy cards in your own region, or load directly using external payment method.

Support likely can't resolve it. The system's in place, you can try for a refund at wherever you bought the code.

Physical cards/codes purchased at other retailers, read the information in the green box here...

They ARE currency locked.

Nothing they can do, system is set to only allow Wallet cards to be redeemed that match you local currency.

Answer simple, go back to seller you bought it from, and get refund, or exchange with them for something else.

My advice when comes to any gift cards for any store, just stick to buying in your region.
