How do I remove Rockstar Social email from my steam account?
I bought GTA V from steam years ago and used a different email account for the Rock-star social account, that email address is no loner in use, so after buying RDR2 I can't make a new account with them as they keep say my email connected to my STEAM account.

I have spend weeks going through Rock-star's 'support' and in the end they said they couldn't help me.

Now I can't play any Rock-star games as the email I used years ago is linked to steam and I no longer have the ability to log in to it.

What can I do?

It's not my steam account email that is the problem, it is the rockstar account that is connected to my steam account.....

All linking, unlinking is done via Rockstar and you can only link to one Steam account at a time

The only option is to refund RDR2 on your current Steam account if possible.

Secondly as Rockstar cannot help you, your options are, IF you get the refund:

1) Create a NEW Steam account and a NEW Rockster account, link them together with a NEW email account, and buy RDR2 on Steam.

Or:

2) Create a NEW Rockstar account, create a NEW email account, and buy RDR2 on the Rockstar Launcher store.

He cant get refund if played over 2 hours, and years ago also rule that out. 14 days refund rule afaik. ( its like they did not tell him, this steam, has other rules they cant bend.

we do understand what NX machine said , only work then its newly required game.

maybe we should start use bind to account again here, so pll stop even think you can merge or move content. ( just like good old box games did it. )

steam bought title is bind at steam.

rockstart title none steam game follower rockstart link to whatever steam account afaik.

I did get a refund, for RDR2 because I couldn't play it, however, this mean I cannot play any rockstar game with this steam account,,,,,,, I can't even play GTA 5, even though I sent screen shots to rockstar to prove it was in my steam library.

I was hoping for some help from STEAM as rockstart have been totally useless.

Then you need to figure out how to work with them to accept your new email as this is on them and you for no longer having that email address and not updating to your new one before you lost access to it.

This is not a steam issue they can do anything about.

yeah sounds like proof of past user info.

Nothing is connected to your Steam account, Valve do not offer that functionality, any account linking, EA, Rockstar, Epic, Activision is done on their side not Steam's.

Steam Support cannot help you because all linking, unlinking is done on Rockstar's end.

Linking

https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/24072697904659/Linking-a-Steam-account-to-a-Rockstar-Games-account

Unlinking

https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/22802682178707/Unlinking-your-Steam-account-from-your-Rockstar-Games-account

And finally found this on another thread:

Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support.

The entitlements to play GTAV are tied to both the Social Club and Steam accounts. These accounts must remain linked or you will not be able to play GTAV or GTA Online with either of these accounts.

If we were to unlink your Steam account from your Social Club account, you will not be able to play GTA Online as well as GTAV with your Social Club account, even if another Steam account is linked to it afterwards.

Then change it.

I can only login there with the new email I submitted when I installed RDR2, that is when I got the message that the email account didn't match the previous one I had used.
