steam community ban
Hello friends. I have just been banned from the community(not this account). The reason they show is a comment on someone's profile. As far as I remember, I wrote a comment once, it was "add me for trade". In the notification that comes, it says contact steam support. And when I contact steam support they close help request for no reason. does this mean my account will be community banned forever? just an "add me for trade" comment?

Because the words "add me for trade" is viewed as a possible scam attempt.

Your other account may be compromised.

Do all the following to secure your account then re-contact Steam Support.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

3. Change passwords from a clean computer

4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

5. Revoke the API key at https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be NOTHING in the APIKEY)

The ban notice will tell you how long it's for... It also tells you to contact Steam Support if you think its a mistake.

Secure the account, then try again.

Do a virus scan.

Check that the email and phone number on the steam account are still yours.

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
It could be that your comment was misunderstood as something else.
Or the "other person" who is on your account closing the tickets, also was the one who did something that caused the ban.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Even if they would not care, they dont do it in 10 minutes.

Secure your account, then try again.
