PC specs
Hi! Is there anyone here who has a Ryzen 7 5800x3d combined with a GTX1660 graphics card? If so, could someone determine how much FPS he achieves while playing CS2? I am planning to buy a new processor, which is 5800x3d, so far I have been using i5-9400f and I achieve 150-200fps. I'm wondering if replacing the processor alone will help me increase performance without having to change the graphics card. Regards :)

your i5-9400f CPU is good enough for CS2 and even for other modern games, it is the GTX 1660 which sux! however, anything above 120 fps is great!

Yes, the i5 9400f is not bad, but I have a 240hz monitor which I cannot use 100% because I do not have a constant 240fps. Therefore, I am looking for a solution to this problem with the lowest possible costs.

you can tone down your Hz to 144 Hz if you like, as any other hgher than 144 Hz is already overkill anyways..

if you want more FPS, it is not the CPU, it that crappy GTX GPU .. get at least 3070, 4070, ..

or buy for example the "MSI GeForce RTX 4060 AERO ITX OC" for 325 EUR FACTORY NEW and play with epic and stable high fps on a 1080p 24" native screen. It will make you happy for at least next 3~4 years. For you even longer.. ^^

The MSI RTX 4060 AERO ITX OC also works with latest DirectX 12.2 and DLSS 3 !!
And play with the DisplayPort .. This GPU needs at least a 550W PSU though, but it would work with your i5-9400f like a charm..

You do not need 240fps.
Your monitor does not need either.
