The trade was intercepted by a scam bot.
Your friend's account is possibly also compromised.

Sounds like your account has been compromised.

Follow all the steps in the first post.

we were talking when the trade happened. does this still mean that both our accounts are compromised?

one or both are compromised. easy way to check is to look at the accounts trade history. who ever sent items and the items went to a different account is compromised.

and since it needs to be said

All 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK

I have checked my trade history and it shows that I traded with no one. no name or account that could be clicked

You can set your public username to a blank by using a zero-width space. Looks like nothing but it's there.

Has there been an update to this situatuion?

Someone told me it could be due to the new CS2 policy where you cant see traded/gifted skins for like 10 days

Thank you for explaining how this works. I followed the guide just to be safe since i recently tried to deposit some tf2 items into mannco.store and a scammer bot took my items then a guy tried to scam me to get the items back.
