PS5 controller X button does not work but on ps5 works perfectly fine

Today i was trying to play some games on my controller but for some reason the X button did not work, it has been working perfectly fine for a year and the rest of the buttons work fine and when i tried if i still had the same issue on my ps5 everything just worked perfectly fine.

does anyone know how to fix this?
