Transferring accounts on GTA

So let’s say that I have GTAV on epic games. If I were to buy it on Steam, would I get to save my progress from Epic Games to move it to Steam?

No.
The are permanently separate.
When you buy a version from a different store, you will have to start over.
You can use the same Rockstar account, but the saves are separated by store.

Not sure on offline save, but for online multiplayer GTA that is shared regardless if you used same rockstar account, that meant if you limk Epic & Steam to same rockstar account you have access to same multiplayer save for GTA online.

yeah i did it 2 years ago i was playing on epic then bought it here just sign with the same social club account and all the acheivements and every thing will be here on steam once you open the game

Your character is not transferred as that character is tied to the Epic account.

all of ur online progress will be transferred including character,level,cars... etc
