Please ensure nothing hooking into client, or messing with it files & permissions. Example some anti virus may overreact which hooks into the client, or mess with it files & permissions which causes client to not function correctly, or crash.

Another issue can be corrupted files, to fix it, head to where Steam installed, delete everything except for Steamapp folder, and Steam.exe file, once done run Steam.exe and see if issue been resolved.

If still having issues, and if using HDD I recommend defrag your HDD.
Thank you for replying to my post. I've tried to allow Steam apps in my antivirus software, but it still doesn't work. If I delete all the files in the Steam folder except the Steam app and steam.exe as you said will it delete the save game data too? btw I'm using an SSD, so I can't defrag mine.

Have you ever experienced this too?, and are there any other solutions besides the ones you have mentioned
Steam client does crash but from my end it does recover on it's own. Perhaps share with us your general PC specs. CPU, RAM, laptop? etc...
im using Asus TUF Gaming F15 I5 gen11, 8gb ram, SSD Nvme 512gb, and RTX 3050 4gb
I didn't encounter any problems while playing the game, the problem appeared when I finished playing and I was in the Steam menu. Steam is like freezing, I can't click anything, I can't even exit Steam, the only way is I have to end task steam apps in the task manager

If got cloud save enable shouldn't be a problem, also often games save are not in Steam, it only really old games that may be in same game folder hence within the Steamapp folder.

What you can do is move user data folder out of Steam folder, then delete everything except for steamapp folder and Steam.exe file, then run steam.exe and see if issue resolved.
