My Frustrating Ordeal with G2A

Wanted to share a super frustrating ordeal I went through on {LINK USUNIĘTY}G2A.com. I was on the hunt for a "Granblue Fantasy: Relink key", and Google brought me to this item on their site. Unfortunately, instead of getting the game key, I got login details for someone else's Steam account.

This thing took place on Feb 3rd, and dealing with the seller & G2A has been a headache. They refused to give me a refund and even claimed that selling Steam accounts is okay on their platform. Selling Steam accounts is a clear violation of Steam's Terms of Service, yet G2A seems to be turning a blind eye, allowing sellers to flout these rules with impunity.

The seller I dealt with has over 55,000 transactions, and it turns out they're not the only ones selling Steam accounts on G2A. It looks like this is a big problem, not just a one-off, and it could be hitting a lot of us in the Steam community.

If Steam doesn't act against G2A, it feels like they're letting down everyone who's ever bought games directly from them. It's not fair that some people can pay less for games by breaking the rules, while the rest of us pay full price to support the game makers and our gaming community. I really hope Steam steps up and shows their stand.

Your problem is that you did not get what you bought.
So when the seller refuses to fix that, do a chargeback and return the item or if its like you said, do not use it.

Considering that name of the site is censored, you bought it on rather well-known, shady site.

That website is well known to scam people. Do a chargeback to get your money back.

Not a whole lot Valve can do about it. Selling accounts may not be allowed, but it's not illegal so they can't just go get the website taken down.

All they can do is ban accounts they know have been sold.

It's more of that Steam can't do anything about the site. Also it's probably set up in a country where laws are not really applied.

Filtered site = dodgy site. Take it up with them and do a charge back if required
