Permissible temperature.
My computer broke down and my friends assembled a new computer for me from the components they had.

I have questions about the permissible temperature
- processor [Intel Xeon E5 2690 v3]
- video card [AMD Rx 580 8Gb 2048Sp]
- motherboard [X99 Intel LGA 2011-3]

I looked at the temperature (in Celsius) using the Aida64extreme700 utility. There are a lot of temperature indicators and it is not clear which of them are the most important.
Well, of course, I looked at the GPU temperature using the built-in GPU utility.
I meant what temperatures can be accelerated to in order for the computer to work longer.

All CPUs have their own temp ranges and they differ accordingly. As long as you have a good system with good fans/cooling system, generally speaking, those temps can be pushed to the limit without too much of a perf drop.If you aren't sure(i.e. you don't have the spec info for your system, then I'd advise letting it run at as is and not fiddle with the CPU too much.Alternately you could always ask your local computer guys what they think.

In short, run games and not bother with temperatures and other hardware characteristics?
And then what comes out of it will happen.

I asked not only about the passport critical temperatures, but also about the gentle mode for this configuration of components.

The cooler and cooling on the processor are of average quality. On the video card - standard.

Ultimately if you're using utilities to check and monitor temps, naturally you should look up the hardware to see what it's stated thermal limits are. Data without context is useless.

If you want other people to just tell you, then you need to provide your temps for them to make any appraisal.

I tested it a little in Space Engineers on medium settings.

- the temperature of the GP reached +78C
- the processor temperature was about +50C (Aida)
- the temperature of the system board reached +111C (Aida)
- temperature of the north bridge diode is about +65C (Aida)

Of this entire list, I am most concerned about the temperature of the north bridge diode on the MP +111C
Is this normal or not?

what has this to do with steam?
