See how things are with https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad or Windows' Game Controllers (Windows key+R, type: joy.cpl, choose OK. Select the controller > Properties). If you're using Windows' tester you'd want to disable Steam's Desktop Layout or quit Steam, might not need to do anything for the online tester.
One way to disable the Desktop Layout:
Steam > Settings > Controller > Desktop Layout (Edit) > Disable Steam Input
Should see 'Enable Steam Input' to turn it back on.
If the games you're playing have native support for the DS4, see how things are with Steam Input disabled if you have it enabled. Can disable it globally via Steam > Settings > Controller > PlayStation Controller Support = 'Not Enabled', or per-game: right-click game in Steam Library > Properties > Controller > set the override to 'Disable Steam Input'
Ah I see. On the website the controller works fine, but that's not surprising. The game I'm playing is Soul Calibur 6, it does not support DS4 so the PlayStation support is needed.
