my friends cant see my game activity for gifted games?

hello, ive been having this weird issue where my friends cant see my game activity, but ONLY when i play games ive been gifted. every time we play lethal company, my status shows up as "online" for everyone else, and im guessing its because one of them gifted me it since they can see me play games i bought myself just fine. lethal company doesnt even show up on my profile for one of them, despite them being the one that gifted me it in the first place. does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? ive tried changing my privacy settings from public to friends only, and back to public like it always has been, but they still cant see anything. its just really frustrating. i cant find any solutions for this besides "change your privacy settings" but they were all already public when this problem first started happening and changing them to friends only didnt do anything either!

Right click the game on library > Manage > Unmark as private ?

Looks like it's a bug for gifted games. Automatically goes to private. One of my gifted games also was private. I suggest to keep this thread up for this issue.

it worked!!! thank you so much!!! i feel a bit silly for making a whole post about this when the solution was so simple, but i had no idea steam automatically marked gifts as private... i hope they change that at some point because it is really confusing (especially for someone like me who didnt even know you could private games lol)

ohhhhhh i see!!! im not super active on the steam forums or knowledgeable about really anything on the platform besides playing games with my friends so i knew nothing about the beta features. thank you for telling me about it!!!
