SteamCMD fails to connect and update.

Hello, I have a problem with SteamCMD where it does not want to connect to the steam network and update. Now normal steam does work completely fine on my whole network, but steamCMD refuses to connect both on my server and on my PC.

This is the error it throws into the console:

steam user is not set.

Can someone please help me with this? Thanks in advance!

These are the things come to mind.

- Using out of date version that no longer works.

- Corrupted files that have to redownload SteamCMD, and it files.

- Says failed to load manifest either that file missing, or corrupted, or possibly something preventing it from making/downloading said file, or even read/write to it.
