Run Steam in foreground aka "normal window" during Windows 11 Start-up ?
Hello I'm on windows 11, current steam version 1705108172.

"Silent" mode "Launches Steam to the system tray only" appears to be default now for "Run Steam when my computer starts".

Is there a way to launch steam in foreground aka a "normal window" (or slight misnomer "maximised") on windows 11 during start-up?

I've found a few old threads for windows 10 granular control of this, but they don't seem to apply to windows 11.

Please help! :)

Yes. Disable the built-in option (as it doesn't do what you want) and put a shortcut to Steam.exe in shell:startup.

Ah, all good. After trying several methods before posting, working solution came to me right after I posted:

- disable "Run Steam when my computer starts"

- manually create a shortcut to steam.exe

- windows key + R, then shell:startup (to navigate to user account manual start-up folder)

- move the shortcut to steam in there (still works on windows 11, even though no other start-up apps appear in there by default, apparently still good for manually adding start-up apps)

Thank you yes indeed this is working

Thanks for the reminder to include "disable the built-in option" in the steps.
