NFSHP Remastered launch problem. Unable to contact Steam. Refund denial.

After playing a bit, it is failing to launch. The message is: link2ea://launchgame/1328660?platform=steam&theme=NFSHP. Unable to locate application.

I wanted to contact Steam support, but there is no path for that. They also refused to refund my money, as I already played it. So what should I do then? There is definitely problem with this game.

I have already re-installed the game.

Your Link2EA protocol definition is broken. As to how to restore it, game forum or EA support. Well, actually, here's my definition of that

Thanks. So I checked the EA Desktop folder and I guess the Link2EA.exe file is missing. There is only Link2EA.exe.old

Well, that would explain the error message. Looks like your Origin (or "EA App" or "EA Desktop" or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they're calling it) is busted. Reinstalling should fix things.

Yup, that is exactly the problem you're having: that EA Launcher is bunged-up in some way. As I said earlier, game forum or EA support would be the most logical places to go now.

Ok, so I reinstalled EA launcher and started game directly from it, and it solved problem.
