Can't gift EA FC24 Ultimate on discount. But base gane works. Why?

Is there a restriction on some versions of a game for gifting? EA FC24 is on a big discount now. 70% for the base game, 60% for the ultimate version. I have the option to gift the base game, but the Ult version is blocked out.

Worse still, Steam support is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that you can't seem to reach out to the support staff via email, chat or message directly to ask questions like this. The options leads you in circles and is basically limited to only certain scenarios, leaving you stuck if you have questions like these.

Gifting is disabled by EA for the Ultimate version, yes.

Publisher decisions, not Valve's.

I think it's because of restrictions in Belgium.

Steam Support can be contacted regarding issues they can actually assist with. This is not one of those cases.

This is solely the doing of EA. So ask them why the Ultimate Edition can not be gifted as that is something they must enable.

What a stupid restriction! Now we can’t buy for our friends. Dumb! Guess we will look other games to buy as gift. This is really dumb!
