Steam trade offfer help
Im trading with my own account with this one, but when i do everything including checking the profile to avoid api scam, then the verification notification appeared i clicked approve trade. I checked on both account for my items, but nothing there, i then checked my trade history and it tells me that i traded with an account with the exact same name with my account but looks like a clone or bot account with 0 level. Help me with this please

Your account is compromised.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

You have to check the other profile again after the verification notification appears, but before clicking approve trade.

I just wanted to trade some items to my other account and of course they're all mine. I traded some cs skins to the account to play but then i dont know they just vanished to a new-created account with the same name

Things to do now:
  • Secure your account.
  • Report the newly created account.
  • Optional: Contact Steam Support.

Unfortunately, your items are gone.

You need to check on your phone authenticator not the trade you make on your computer.

Check your trade history from the account that was giving the items. There will be two trades listed, the first to the correct account that was canceled and a second to the fake account.

That means you initiated and accepted a trade whilst your account was compromised and scammers impersonating your intended target intercepted the trade offer and you accepted the contaminated one to the impersonators. Do the steps above as a matter of urgency but items lost this way are not returned.
