[SOLVED] Disable Steam screenshots for a particular game, whilst keeping the overlay?
I've got a few games that allow you to take in-game images (that don't capture the HUD); and so I was wondering if there was a way to disable steam screenshots for particular games, so that I may assign the same key (F12) for taking screenshots.

I know that by disabling the overlay for a game, you can achieve this, but I wish to keep the overlay if possible. Does anyone know a method for doing this? Perhaps a Game Launch Option?

you could change the key steam uses to take a screenshot. It's done through settings then in-game

... or change Steams screenshot key. Or simply use both.

Isn't that a global setting though? Meaning that it would change for every game, defeating the purpose of this request. If there's a way to set the key for each game though, that'd work.

I may have to use both, and then just delete the images later.

:bulb: Perhaps I could remove permissions from game screenshot folders of my choice. Provided there's no annoying error message from Steam (like uPlay has), that would be a good workaround.

would be a lot easier to just change the key in steam settings that way theres no chance of any error messages

But then the screenshot key would no longer be F12 for all the other games I have...
Unless, like I said, you could change it for individual games.

EDIT: I wanted to have F12 as a universal game-screenshot key. That was the point of this post, to see if I could disable steam's screenshots (for certain games) and have those select games use F12 instead.
