How do I remove games from recently played section?
I came across many profiles that have some hours on record and multiple games on the account but have an empty played section. I think it looks cool :P

Here is a screenshot of what I mean: http://prntscr.com/aeut9n

Edit: found the method. works well

Edit2: steam is trying to patch these methods, the one i posted above no longer works. I would advice you not to run any batch files you find online as they may be malicious. steam recently added more privacy settings so I would suggest using that to hide your games.

Maybe I'm talking about something different from others. I'm talking about the text list of recent games when you click the Steam icon on the task bar, because I like to use it to launch my games. Activating a new game, even if I never install it, goes here and pushes a game I play off the list. Only games you've actually played should be listed.

The icon in the taskbar, right click it, right click the game and remove it. It will always add a game you just installed to the list.

Pin the games you want to stay in that list so they will not be removed.

Not sure what system you're using but my Steam doesn't allow any right-click option on that list, only left-clicking, which launches game.

I'm talking about the taskbar and not the notification tray.

Ok, this is really works and really helpful I think. Thanks. But in my right-click menu I have only three games. What if I want to remove 4th and so on? For example my client looks like this screenshot[yadi.sk]. If I bought a game or activated a key, but never run it - the game still in my recent list. My problem even not in existence of the list, but in self-scrolling. I'm opening this list to run game I played few days ago, but list auto-scrolled somewhere to the middle 2017.

That's my beef, that games go on there even if they aren't installed.

Despite me having put some games on hide-list they still show up on recently played list, are those hidden games on recently played list visible to other logged in members (friend and unfriends?) or only to me? No games are visible to non-logged in.

Your games aren't visible at all, your privacy settings regarding that are set to Friends only or Private.

You have your games set to private, which is separate from hiding a game from your library, so nobody can see your games.

However, hiding a game in your library only hides it from you, it's not related to your Recent Activity.

My younger brother is my steam-friend and i hope my hidden games does not show up on recently played list and become visible to friends.

Edit: I went to edit-profile and set game-privacy to private, it was friends-only which means my hidden games were not private to him. But i don't want all my games to be private, just the hidden games.

You can't hide individual games from your profile, it's all or nothing.

i want to hide a certain game from my recently played list because it's embarrassing... i have real friends on my steam list... Steam please add hide feature please :steamsad:

My gripe with this is that I like to use the "recently played games" list for games I've recently played. I don't want games listed here that I've NEVER played or NEVER installed or NEVER downloaded.

Why is this so difficult for Steam to understand?

Oh, okay. I just noticed this post from a long time back. I see what you're saying now. So I guess this list holds only five titles and if I pin five titles, I won't have to worry about this again?

Thanks a lot!
