is there a more direct way to contact steam support?
hello i am have an issue. i have been repeatedly denied a refund even though i meet all the requirements for the return policy. im sort of confused as to why they have this policy if it is not honored. im not trying to be disrespectful but its all very frustrating that a major service like steam doesn't have a more proper customer service format. i cant keep waiting for 2 or 3 days for a reply when i was charged 99$ by mistake and am being denied a refund.

i have been using steam for years and have never had a problem until now. but this is all such a bad experience i highly doubt i well continue to use the service if i am denied a refund. when i so clearly meet the requirements.

before i start rambling i'll just politely ask. is there any sort of way to speak to someone other than a bot who is just automatically denying my refund request without actually looking at the information i can put forward proving i deserve said refund? thanks! hopefully this is the right place to post this

2 hours and 2 weeks.

The ticket system is the only way, and if they are still saying no then that's about the end of it.

If the experience you're having is on the Help Desk -page, you could contact Steam Support and file the ticket under [Purchases and Payments > Refunds].

really? wow that's highly disappointing..... i just dont understand. i mean i can understand not being given a refund if they just flat out said "no refunds" but if they have a refund policy and i meet said policy why am i being denied? and is there really no way to contact SS other than the ticket system? i would hope any steam staff reading this would respectfully hear this complaint and understand my frustration thanks for the news snapjack even if its not good news.

ill keep trying to get a refund but i am being automatically denied without anyone even listening to what im trying to say... ugh. well. i guess i can keep trying because i really cant afford a $99.99 missclick lol

What game?
Knife Mar 10, 2016 @ 1:12pm
I guess ill describe in better detail the problem. The game I am using is might and magic franchise pack. You see I was trying to buy might and magic dark messiah for 9.99. but by mistake I bought the franchise pack for 99.99. which is way out of my price range. So a few days later I realized what happened. It had not been two weeks yet. And when I saw that there was an "I bought this by mistake" option I thought I was home free. But the problem is I have played dark messiah "the game I thought I bought" for over two hours... But I did not want any of the other games in the pack. And I have not played any of the other games. see Im dyslexic and the four 9s looked like 3 at the time I guess ha. So like. All the games count of one buy even though I have only played the one I intended on buying. But since I played that one game and they are all lumped together it is counted at me played over 2 hours even though I have not played any of the games I did not mean to get. Hopefully that makes since. So Im being denied without anyone really listening

i would just return all the games i have no intention of playing seprately. but i cant do that because they are all on the same "ticket" if you know what i mean.

The problem is simple. Because you played a part of the game for 20 hours, you cannot refund it. You either need to refund it all or not at all and you cannot becuase of the time you put into one game. You bought them all as a package deal, they all get refunded as a package deal. You cannot pick and choose what to keep or what not to keep

i understand that. but i have not played any of the other games what so ever. and they say it is taken on a case buy case basis. i mean. in all fairness i think its pretty clear i did not mean to get the franchise pack.

You played one game of the package for 20 hours. They said no several times and they will not change that either

yes. ONE GAME. for 20 hours. its so clear that this was a mestake. and so clear that im not trying to game any kind of system here. i really just wish they took a slightly less robotic aproch to this. surely you understand why this is frustating

Here read thius:

Refunds on Bundles
You can receive a full refund for any bundle purchased on the Steam Store, so long as none of the items in the bundle have been transferred, and if the combined usage time for all items in the bundle is less than two hours. If a bundle includes an in-game item or DLC that is not refundable, Steam will tell you if the whole bundle is refundable during check-out.

http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

You will not get a refund
