Can I add a launcher to Non steam game library?

I want to add a non steam game to library but it is located in a gog launcher and steam will only see the launcher. Is it safe to add the launcher to steam library or how do I add the game?

By GOG launcher, do you mean GOG Galaxy? As far as I know, games do not require the client, and should run outside it.

There are exceptions to that rule, for example some games do require GOG Galaxy if they use its network API for multiplayer, similar to Steamworks.

I want to buy the division but it's $10 cheaper on gog.

I tested to try and add BF4 that I have on gog but when I go to add the game it only shows the launchers and not the games. Maybe I can edit the path that steam is searching?

That's disappointing, I liked that their games could run independent of a client. Then again, if they use the client for multiplayer, I suppose it's a bit necessary.

Nothing bad will happen, though it's likely Steam will show you as playing the client and not the game itself.

EDIT: GOG also doesn't sell Battlefield 4, for that matter. Where are you actually talking about, because it's not GOG. https://www.gog.com/

Um...GOG doesn't sell the Division...

I meant Uplay. But the same question would apply to all launchers.

All copies of The Division use UPlay, including those sold on Steam. All copies of The Division play on the same servers.
