Trade Box Is Dotted?

So I'm trying to trade this guy for his Butterfly Slaughter MW. He accepted he has trade hold. I'm fine with waiting 3 days so I just accepted. I checked the trade after accept, and his item has dotted lines around it. I check other items, they have just straight line no dots... Help please I don't know what's going on. Is his item fake or duplicate or something? Do duplicate items even exist? I'm kinda new to trading so..

No. I had the same problem and the only possible answer is that if you see the dotted lines, it means the price of the item has gone up in the steam market than the price when both parties accepted the trade.

Maybe half-decade later this is the only comment one can find valid because even the stream support was unable to help with this issue.
