Steam Support: Request Timeout error

I've submitted a Steam support ticket, and been asked to provide a screenshot. But whenever I try to upload the screenshot, or to post a reply without one, I get the following error:

Request Timeout

The server timed out while waiting for the browser's request.

Steam and my Internet in general are working perfectly fine in every other way, and I've had this error across multiple days.

Obviously, I can't submit a support ticket about Steam Support not working for me because Steam Support is not working for me.

What should I do?

Try a different browser.

I've tried Steam itself, Firefox and Chrome. Chrome actually shows the upload percentage - so I can see that it finishes uploading before I get the error, but I still get it every time. The screenshot is only 1.74 MB, and it's a .png, so it should fit all the requirements.

Edit: The same thing occurs even when I leave off the screenshot, and just try to post a message.

Hey, i have the same problem too. Even when i just try to write an answer it doesn't work. Please, i have problems with Steam since weeks and it's really frustrating :(

I have the same exact problem. It's really bothering me, as I need Support to get my main account back

what worked for me was lowering the size of the file. Maybe try cropping it out to only the important things

Thx Teetlez, just making the image a lower resolution fixed it. My original file was 2mb. I used MS Paint to scale it down to 180kb. That fixed the 'Request Timeout' error.
