[SOLVED]Games wont display in my native resolution, but my desktop will (1080p)
Title says it all. Every game I have except for fallout 4 is stuck at 720p. I've tried a few things already.
-Have all the latest drivers, even uninstalled and did a clean install
-Tried enabling DSR in Nvidia Control Panel (NCP)
-Tried hooking up another computer, same thing. Repeated with a laptop on windows 7 to no avail.
-Manually editing game settings via the settings files
-The infamous "have you tried rebooting?" Yes, I have.
-Tried using a DVI Cable as well. (Limits resolution to 1360x768) Still cant change resolution in game
-Tried another, smaller monitor. Achieved 1080p, even higher resolutions through DSR in NCP so GPU isn't the issue.
Specs:
Fx 8350 @ 4.6 GHz
PNY XLR8 Geforce GTX 960 4GB Edition
8GBs of Ram
Windows 10

If (i) the same thing happens with other computers attached to the same monitor, and (ii) the problem goes away with a different monitor, then the monitor is the problem, not the graphics card or computer. Sure it's only happening with games, but a 'mode switch' occurs whenever a full screen game is launched and it sounds like the monitor is making a bad decision whenever that switch occurs.

If your monitor is using a generic (Microsoft) driver, look on the monitor manufacturer's website to see if they develop a driver specifically for that model.
Ive actually discovered that the native resolution for the TV is 1360x768 and through HDMI just compresses a 1080p Image/Environment for downscaling. using a DVI cord with a custom 1920x1080 resolution fixed the issue.
