Far Cry Primal Launch issue

When I launch Far Cry Primal, my screen goes black and then switches to "Input not supported." The game launches at a higher resolution than my monitor is by default. How can I fix this?

Right click the game in your library -> Properties -> Set Launch Options -> "-w (desired width) -h (desired height)" You can also add "-sw" for windowed and "-fs" for fullscreen.

Ok so I put "-h<900> -w<1600>" and it still didn't work?

Because while that launch argument might apply for Source games, it doesn't necessarily apply for Far Cry: Primal. Even then, you wouldn't actually use the < and >.

You likely have a config file under C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\Far Cry Primal\ that you could open and change the resolution with.

To put contrast to Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Far Cry 4, that file would be GamerProfile.xml

Open it up with WordPad and alter the values.

ResolutionX = width
ResolutionY = height

Far Cry Primal also have a "GamerProfile.xml" file located exactly where you said :)

The specific line is :
