Steam Guard, Recovery Code... etc TROUBLES... need HELP!
Hello there fellows. Since Steam support sucks almost at the time, I decided to come to the real ppl that make this thing work... COMMUNITY!
The problem is... I was using Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator without a problem... but SUDDENLY it stopped generating VALID CODES (don't ask me WHY neither HOW, it just happened)... SO... I deactivated it... restart validating steam by email... ok... I had my R***** code wrote down...

Then I decided to sell something at Com. Mark. and it asks for a Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator to be more efficiently ... So I thought "WHY NOT?" Let's try again... MORE PAIN! MORE TROUBLES.... It asked for a SMS code to reactivate, ALL (when I mean ALL it's ALLLLL) codes sent by SMS were *WRONG* (WHAT???!!!!) couldn't reactivate it... So I lost contact to my account... I tried the SUPER RECOVERY CODE! And (believe or NOT)... it was WRONG TOO!!! LOL!! WTF???!!! How DUMB Steam system can be? They sent me the code and now it's not accepted? WTF (again) ??!!! Ok, have to REMOVE Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, reactivate my account... and it's authenticating by email!!! AGAIN! It's a PAIN... but a question was LEFT behind... won't I be able to use Mobile Authenticator again? (My number is still there, on settings, but seems to be a "conversation" error between the system and my phone (that WASN'T erased and anything like that since Authenticator was installed for the first time)... and what 'bout my RECOVERY CODE? THEY sent me a NON-ACCEPTABLE Code! Help me guys, I'm affraid of LOSING my account some day....

Authenticator codes are generated based on the time on your phone. If the time on your phone is off by enough, the codes will not be valid. If you have multiple accounts protected by mobile authenticator, you should also make sure you are entering the codes for the correct account.

Is your phone set to Automatic time? Manually set times has been known to cause issues with the SMS verification.

<habitualaction> what you mean by OFF? The phone powered off? Nope, it's ON and online all the time...

<Glimmer> it's all on automatic ...date and time..time zone... all of it... :(

By off, I mean offset. Let's imagine Steam thinks it is noon, and your phone thinks it is 12:05. That could be enough to cause invalid codes. I would try synchronizing your time with an Internet time server, if possible.

<habitualaction> but as I said above... it's on automatic and always were...
Automatic just means it will adjust the time every so often, could be once a week, could be once every couple of weeks. it won't hurt anything to synchronize it manually.

So I ask again... WTF? Are they sleeping on thei desks??? F*CK OFF STEAM! CAN'T believe how POOR is their support...
The first response is an autresponse based on keywords in your ticket. This is because most problems can be solved without the need for Steam support to become involved. Just add a short reply explaining you still need assistance, a human being will respond eventually.

I've already did, thanks..

But you guys... really think it could be a time relative problem?

From Steam, I don't expect and explanation... but I'd like to receive a new R-Code at least....

Unless you have multiple Steam accounts protected by the authenticator, I do suspect it is a time issue. Only Steam can say for sure.

I do have more than 1 account, but only this one is Auth Protected... so, I think it's the time bug maybe? Strange... :)
But thanks anyway... I'll wait for a Steam support for this one and keep you guys informed. Thanks again!
