TF2 Mouse hover problems on home screen

Hi guys! I play on a MacBook Pro and I currently have this problem when i am in the main menu of TF2, when i hover over a button, i cannot click it. For example when i hover over "Items" it doesn't let me click "Items". It also is very frustrating for me to join servers, I have to type the ip address in console instead. In game, i cannot select a class using the mouse, i have to use keys and numbers to find my way around.

I have tried verifying my cache, it did not work. I have tried redownloading TF2, it did not work. I tried rebooting steam, and TF2 itself, it did not work.

It is very annoying and I cannot seem to find a solution. I'd appreciate if you guys would help! Thank you and have a nice day/night
